So they are not clan filled bigots after all and care about the well being of the country in their view - hence - the prayer for someone they think will do better irrespective of the man's clan whom they are praying for?


That is the Somali spirit. The outcome should be supported in the name of unity simply because division is the cause of Somalia's failure. If some how Somalis can get checks and balances in place where no one can abuse the system of government, it would not matter who held the presidency and power.

It is unfortunate to see how some people in here are rooting for Gurgurte or the illiterate moderate-Terrorist Shariff over a well-educated Somali man like President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, especially when these people claim to have kinship with him via clan.
