Clan miscegenation!

clans are indistinguishable besides the Y-Chromosome.

There can be no such thing as clan miscegenation.

Exactly. Y-DNA haplogroup is only important in determining descent but it has no role in phenotype and the degree of relatedness between members of an ethnic group with more than one Y-DNA haplogroup. This is why autosomal DNA is so much more important as it determines degree of relatedness and thus phenotypical variation (or lack thereof) within an ethnic group. Somalis are essentially identical autsomally speaking regardless of their clan and their Y-DNA haplogroup.

Miscegenation kulaha, you mean to tell me that each clan is of a different race and their subclans are subraces? Yaab.
I'm Ceyr on both sides (different subclans), I have Darood grandmothers here and there. And I'm abti to Isaaq and Darood kids.
I don't think this requires and opinion, as for it shaping my views.. it doesn't, same shit different clan/subclan.
uwot.

I already came to the conclusion that intra-qabil marriages were unheard of before the coloniasts came. They divided and conquered us to the point we married from our own subclans.

Location tends to play a role too.

Yeah, unfortunately inter-qabiil marriages seem to have declined significantly. For example I'm pretty sure Habar Jeclo-Dhulbahante marriages, which were extremely commonplace prior to the civil war, don't happen as often because of the tense political situation diving the two communities.

I'm MJ, mother is Cidagale, her mother was Habar Awal though. My dad's MJ on both sides of his family. There's no such thing as clan miscegenation people will marry clans they are close to or people they come into contact with. My parents were very young when they got married to each other before the break out of the full scale civil war and they say there was push back caude they were different clans.

Interesting, I'm from the exact same mix of clans as well just a different combination. I'm Ciidagale, my mom is Habar Awal and my ayeeyo (dad's mom) is Majeerteen.

I noticed a lot of Cidagale have Habar Awal reer abti. My great grandmother is also Ciise. My fathers side is a lot less diverse.

Yes I am darood with gadabursi reer abti. Naturally being a product of such "miscegenation" I encourage all somali mating from across different corners of the peninsula :mjpls:
