Why should they have to degrade themselves in order for ajnabis to appreciate our food? There are other successful marketing tactics they could employ and still produce similar or even better results, but instead they create racist AI generated images and regurgitate the same corny lines. Literally no self-respecting Somali finds the banana and rice jokes funny.

Personally, I think their advert campaign is extremely cringe worthy to watch but I think trying to cancel them makes us look worse.

Let the free market deal with them, if they’re successful or not.


The reason why this restaurant became famous on social media isn’t because they make fun of Somalis.

It is because it is a company that is able to laugh at themselves.

A self-aware business, just like a self-aware person, indicates trust and reliability.
