Diversity of Somali hair

Type 1 is rare type 2 is not, most the boys in my Dugsi back in Somalia has type 3 or 2 while most the girls had type 3
My dad has 2c too but it’s still uncommon.. I’m basing my opinion based on who I grew up around. Type 3-4 were the most common

I don’t think it rare at all I see loads of ppl with this hair type but I would say 3/4a is also as common -

also when you google somali the first thing you see are timo jileecs you don’t see that many timo jar3eer women that’s probably why it seems over represented

Somalis are a mixture of ancient Levantine ancient North African and ancient East African, because of that it’s rare to see a Somali with completely kinky hair or completely straight hair, most of us are inbetween (I.e 2b-4b )

I don’t think type 4 is as rare as yall make it out to be. Either way, I wanted to show love to a underrepresented & often times abused group of Somalis

Most Somalis have jareeer hair
Jar33r hair looks like this:

If you actually touch it, it is rough and hard, hence the name "Jar33r". No Somali will have this hair type unless he/she has madow ancestry.

The average Somali has this hair:

It is very curly, but if you touch it, it is soft. Not "Jar33r".

As I noted earlier, you seem to have an odd agenda of assimilating us into the madow community. :gaasdrink:

Do any of yall find it wrong to sell hair products that work on Somalis to madow and have them believe they will grow the same hair?
