This is why I will never understand the Somalian mind, can't seem to grasp fundemental things like if you aren't paying you can't make final decisions. Doesn't matter if it's HSM or anyone else, FGS was never going to have final say.
I always take a detached approach so I don't learn way or the other. But it's funny how you ignore everything that doesn't agree with your logic for instance you seem to slide past the fact that it's been 1 yeat since the mou and no progress has been made on recognition.

Nobody on Somalia side unfortunately. World basically wants to contain Somalia and nobody does better job than Kenya and Ethiopia. Too many weapons and troops not under fgs control. Ethiopia with all its fault has way more trust in world. Gets billions in investment. Visits from world leaders and billionaires .
Ethiopia is like Russia to its satellite countries. Everyone knows Belarus is under economic political and militarily control of Russia. Same thing with Somalia we separate country in name only.
Abiy is flexing muscle and stepping out from behind scenes to make it crystal clear who in charge. Maybe saw fgs making to much progress and getting to independent and decided to crack whip who knows

The world can't listen anymore to this kind of rhetoric.
We just watched Jubbaland and the FGS fighting a few kilometers from Al-Shabaab. It's not the responsiblity of the world to finance experiments in decentralized government or unitary government or 20 year constitutional reform projects. It's time for Somalis to come to an agreement, take responsbility for their own security and stop Somali territority being used to export terror.
In 2024 Somalia was being treated like Biden health, let's pretend everything is normal - heck even go into the UNSC why not, it's all a big party here.
It's 2025, the Democrats are no longer in power and it's time for realism.

Im not really worried about ethiopia since there stat capacity is one the decline . Also that's a terrible comparison. Russia has absolute control over all its territory. The governor of the Amara region and the oromoia region have to take a plane to arrive at their capital cities since it's too dangerous for them too drive . I get that doomerism is appealing. But creating this image of an invincible ethiopia when they literally had a civil war and are experiencing mass starvation in tigray sounds like a fantasy.
The world spend like 1.5 billion on atmis. A additional couple billion on aid that goes to somali govt and food stuff. It’s very low stakes for countries like America. Their metric for success is probably reducing piracy, no shabab attacks outside Somalia, and ensuring no Americans die inside country which Trump probably will ensure by pulling them like first term.
