Buqdharkayn was sacked by SSC last year so I don't why you're claiming there was fighting since 2019. There is no continuity.

Ceerigaabo on the other hand is a major urban center in Sanaag and it's capital. It's easier to defend a large town than a tiny village and as we seen in last night war, closer they managed to get is 15 km.
