It took UAE 25 years before they became who they are today. Add 25 years to your current age. Most of us will be 50~ by the tilme we see Somalia developed. You will loose the thrill of driving Bugatti and Lamborghini at that age. Fortunately for me I’m an athlete so age doesn’t concern me. Our childeren will be lucky though.

Oil should be nationalized. You're right that every country is corrupt however tge issue is minimizing the impact of corrupt on how services are provided. Somalia needs to learn accountability before it wants to properly develop. There needs to mountains of regulations that get corruption bogged down in legalizism. Also proper anti corruption task force need to be established.

But who am I kidding? This is assuming that the political class are willing to develop the nation, which we all know they're not.

Wasn't there Norwegian researchers that did studies and BBC and al Jazeera made news on some HIGHLY LIKELY oil reserves across somali regions so we got some decent estimates

I completely agree with you in that regard, billions of dollars are/have been spent on “clean energy” but pay close attention and see we’re that money is been spent. It’s a scam, these last 3 decades should be a perfect example . No government (globally might I add) have even implemented any of the MAJOR changes they’ve promised. You expect Somalia to tell the US to get fkd? Look at Syria and where they occupy, Libya and so on. All these countries refused to tow the line and they got fkd. We're currently getting massive help in many ways from the US. I'd rather we do business and stay on their good side.
