He had links to the mayor until he got killed in 2019 and then the mayor who replaced him didn't want to co-operate with him. There is only so much one can do when there are so many road blocks as well. The city needs to be fully safe b4 it can change.

Major storms also cause flooding in rich nations their case usually caused by extreme rains vs our fairly small rain. But supposedly extreme weather will be a lot more common with global warming. If it’s true won’t be good for Somalia with our weak infrastructure . Recent flooding Florida

It is a known fact that the West has more arable rain than the East, which tends to be dry and less rainy
The average rainfall in Hargeisa is 450
You can't compare it to a small town in a dry area that only gets rain one month a year

You can see that it rains a lot in the northwest and south And in the Sanaag Mountains and golis
