Borama kuye. Objectively speaking, it was a clan war between the Isaaq and Harti. The average Gadabursi have been indifferent to the fate of those mercenaries.

If they were concerned, there would be at least one video showing public lamentation over the defeat in Borama, similar to what was seen in Berbera, Hargeisa, Burco, etc.

No one sent anybody. Most of the Gadabursi forces were relocated from Awdal to Sool/Sanaag years ago due to a policy aimed at addressing security concerns in their home base and was basically a deterance to any home grown hostilities.

Somaliland hasn't achieved independence but it's got the basics for the most part under control. The borders are not easy to change people have to have a reason to change them. Somaliland's only independence is within the 1960s borders. No other claim has even a chance in hell legally so that's not even part of the conversation.

Within those borders Somaliland authority doesn't have to militarily occupy every square inch it's just a legal recognition that those lands fall under the sovereignty of Somaliland and the Somaliland government has the legal ownership and authority over that land, just how Hawidar right now has the legal authority over Somaliland and they use it to change flight desitnations etc and try to sell the resources in the sea. You don't seem to have any problem with that but it's offensive if Somaliland does it for some reason.

I don't have a problem with darood people but their politics hasn't changed much, they are neo-faqash and they are gunning for Mogadishu so they have the legal authority over you but its' so offensive for you to claim legal authority over Somaliland even though Somalilands politics is just alround better.
