galmudug population vs bay population

mohamedismail

Reewin. Lixda Gobol ee Maayland unii leh!
This demonstrates a fundemental misunderstanding of patterns of settlement in Somalia. Galmudug has very few farmers. Farmers live in homes that show up on satellite imagery. So the entire urban and farming population of Bay are visible, while for largely nomadic Galmudug only the urban population is visible.

You are not comparing overall populations.
Let's be honest Galmudug is a ghost town. Most of them migrated down south to Banaadir.

Raxanweyn love In 2 regions?

Digil iyo mirifle live in 6 regions. Baay, Bakool, Shabeelada hoose, Gedo, Jubbada dhexe and Jubbada Hoose. We also have population all over Somalia, including Banaadir which hosts over a million Reewins.
Eelay do not live in jubbada hoose, infact half of bakool is daarood (cawliyahan ogaden and buraashadley mjs)

Koonfur galbeed is the juggernaut of Somalia followed by Banaadir followed by Somaliland. Many of the Karanle are farmers in KG and Jubaland. Raarane Hawiye also live amongst the Raxanweyne for centuries. Farmers always outnumber nomads.

Here is short clip of Daahir on just the Sixawle farmers only.

if you want to know real nomadic population look at berkeds "made made watering holes" .

fake NGO biased data made in Nairobi by qabiliste somalis won't fly in AI age anymore.
Again, you have demonstrated your ignorance. The vast majority of nomads north of Hiiraan rely on boreholes to water their animals. The proliferation of boreholes post 1991 made berkeds a secondary source of water.

Also, the 2014 PESS was not carried out by an NGO, but by UNFPA.

You have no way of accounting for nomads, which means you have no way of adjusting for the rural advantage (visibility due to permanent housing).

This is where you are wrong. Boreholes always have permanent settlements build right next to them. That is why no one fights over borehole as it basically becomes a ittle village.

Berked is wide in the open and that is where nomads of different clans fight.

Again you are completely wrong. The time where one of your cousins wrote fake population estimates for ngo/un is long gone.

I have calculated the population of these 7 regions by multiplying the average Fertility rate of Somalia which is currently 6 the total population is 7.2 Million for these 7 regions.

Here's the number of buildings for all regions that weren't included:
Toghdeer = 182k
Waqooyi Galbeed = 333k
Awdal = 58k
Sool = 50k
Sanaag = 64k
Bari = 131k
Nugaal = 62k
Mudug = 110k
Galgaduud = 135k
Middle Shabelle = 174k
Benadir = 536k
Gedo = 183k
Bay = 344k
Bakool = 73k
Hiiraan = 156k
Middle Jubba = 74k
Lower Shabelle = 322k
Lower Juba = 147k

= 3.61 million

Seems too high, no ?
