its best for somali regions to prosper for a peaceful and stable greater somalia...
Somalis should only unite when there's a foreign threat like the xabashis tryna take over.. Each state should have its own unique laws and economic system thats suits its climate , resources and religious values.

LIke dubai has its own prince and abu dhabi.... somalia should follow this way , it can only help us from not entering another political or civil unrest in a volatile and unstable clan federal system.

We should have a confederation and operate like separate states untill the following are met;

1. Law and order and security institutions in each region and the capital
2. Fix up the humanitarian issues in each region and capital
3. A bottom up govt system with a constitution and legal institution with Isimo backing in each region
3. Bottom up social and economic development in each tuulo-town-district-state.
4. Wait for a period of 99 years before negiotating and transitioning regional tasks such as military-currency-foreign affairs-immigration to a federal govt like china and hong kong model in 2 system 1 nation philosophy , we shouldn't transition any task to a federal govt who still has shabab in their town operating courts and taxes, a federal govt that cannot secure villa somalia let alone hamar.

A federal govt that has no legal framework or institutions and strong constitutional courts. Where social/economic development is absolutely absent in all the south.

PL rushed federalism, we should of started as confederation and have a transition plan of 99 years towards federation. Australia was 6 regional govt, they slowly transitioned into the federal government we have today.

Garacad has a town plan which is a good start. I hope the town plan separates residential-central markets-industrial zones-school/hospital spaces-open green spaces for future urban park lands.

Garacad must take into consideration how they design the town in a grid with residential/market/govt/schools/hospitals and how the paved roads-drainage-sewage-sidewalks-curbs will be around the city. Garacad is still a small town like Bosaso was in 91, do not make bosaso mistake of urban development with no town plan, a beautiful town requires a town plan which controls development. Use Garowe as an example not Bosaso.

I think 'garacad' should separate it's governance and business capital like puntland has garowe in the interior and bosaso as business capital. The problem with coastal cities is they can be destroyed by naval attacks like what happened to baargaal our majerteniya sultanate.

Lagama firsan back then how to disconnect your government and trade like how america has new york and DC and Australia capital is buried away in the interior not coastal area. Look how well 'harar' survived by being in the interior, but where is zeylac-berbera-bosaso-hafun and any coastal city.

These coastal cities are susceptible to destruction by navies but also natural disaster. Look how hafun-baargaal-caluula constantly being wiped away due to tsunamis or hurricanes, that's why these areas used to be amazing historical settlements which could've become a tourist hot spot of history but due to war or natural disasters they didn't preserve their history.

Maybe Jariban town should serve as 'mudug government' and Galkacyo-Garacad-Galdogob as their trade lifeline. This would boom if Jariban town became the capital of north mudug, lots of puntites would help develop it but not 'galkacyo' wa in galkacyo noqota just 'trade corridor' for omar mahmouds and not their main city anymore, it's to risky due to the horrendous ceasefire accords signed by abdillahi yusuf and with 'sacad' in the town and also wider region and having 'hags' all the way to mogadishu, this gives them access to galkacyo and no puntite is going to near such a security risk

This is the final phase of 'garacad' port equipment and materials travelling on the federal highway. All those clowns trying to 'stir' up bosaso-garacad port war, ask yourselves why would 'bosaso' allow 'garacad' equipments to dock down if it wasn't approved by puntland govt.

Bosaso port wuxu hos yimada dawlada puntland not a 'clan'. Garacad has been given the green light by puntland government. Wa deked cusub uu soo kordhayso puntland plus it's a great way for puntland ports to compete and ensure a monopoly doesn't occur at Bosaso port.

Garacad port will also gives us data if a port is better managed privately or by the state since Bosaso is state port and garacad is privately funded port, we will see if privatization of public infrastructure is the way to go for puntland or if state ownership is better.

I still lean towards state ownership of infrastructure(center left) so it doesn't lead to large business corporations like ' garacad port is' abusing smaller and medium sized businesses or dictating who can use the port like happened in BERBERA where it's locked down to a 'monopoly' in berbera of large businesses and smaller-medium sized businesses all use puntland port.

This sort of stuff happened in berbera where a few private businesses took over the whole port leading to somalilanders to use BOSASO PUBLIC STATE RUN PORT. So becareful all u capitalist lovers, learn from berbera port fetish with private ownership.

Is the port Somali owned? Also for ports to be reliable there has to be good infrastructure since there is no point docking somewhere without roads. There should be roads to connect the port to other cities so it can be useful and actually make a difference. Anyhow it’s nice to see Somalis progressing.
100% owned by Puntite business men. Road is under construction from Garacad to the custom at Galdogob.
