Somaliland has been seducing Israel for a long time, since the 1960s, before they were even a discussion, their politicians were exchanging letters with Israel. Don't be surprised if they begged for independence, in exchange for being an outpost for greater Israel. Their average civilian is either clueless, or complicit.

I foresee a future like Djibouti if this all goes ahead, but worse, because there will be constant attacks from Harti, not to mention Ogaadeen will probably join in on economically punishing them from DDSI.

The best "independence" to seek, is to stop claiming Harti land, and then get the blessing from Somalis. Instead of becoming a Pariah. Most of us don't care if you want to be independent, just stop the haram antics of claiming other people's land.

There is modern-day communication between Somaliland and Israel as outlined in the thread I posted earlier. I use evidence to craft my responses.

Kosovo was part of Serbia, an autonomous region. When Yugoslavia broke down it obviously tried to make a run for it.

The four criteria for recognitio of Kosovo was:

1. The opportunity to tangibly advance the United States interests
2. The existence of de facto territorial contorl by the aspirant state
3. Little chance of its peaceful reintegration
4. The demonstrated feasibility of a local democratic regime.


Before you say but what about SSC? You must recognize that Kosovo had many peace keepers there even to this day an international force is there. All that is required for SL to achieve full teritorial control is likely political recongntion and a small bit of support to develop militiary, then no one will try anything.

Regarding ethiopia's navy that's what convinced me somalia didn't really lose that much in this turkey negotiation. The only 2 realistic ports for ethiopia are zeila or bebera. But obviously the federal govt will only offer them the other ports. And realistically how likely is ethiopia gonna find a port that's 1000km away useful for them?

Kosovo isn't really comparable here. America's recognition of them was a move to secure a reliable ally in a region that had pro-Russian allies. It also helps that Kosovo is ethnically and culturally different from Serbia.
