They hijacked a car belonging to the Suldan of Cidagale they were given 24hrs to return or face karbash, they chose karbash then were driven out of Ceerigaabo city. It was mainly two sub clans called Uduruxmin and Bahsanbuur that are minority in Ceerigaabo district.

Once the SNM finally expelled siyad barres army from the North what had happened was that there was a power vacuum left that had previously been filled by siyad barres regime.

The SNM over a period of time splintered along the lines of subclans.

Due to disagreements of the power sharing what had unfortunately unfolded was a somaliland civil war.

After some time and thousands of Isaaqs killed by their fellow clansmen what had happened was that peace was made between the subclan elders
