It’s not the colonial border that will decide if Somaliland will be recognised. It is what they can negotiate over. Right now Somaliland is working on support from tribes outside Gabiley and Hargeisa.

If war where to happen they would get the ears of the international community. Depending on how the war develop will decide what they can negotiate over.
