Lol,animals live and thrive in areas where there is a constant supply of water and food,my self,i have seen wild boar, countless hyena, different varities of foxes, hipppos, gazelle, and even zebra that is just few km from balcad.
me and my grandma was attacked by brown hyena when i was 10 years ,so yes it has undocumented wildlife.

I will assume those were the peaceful times? And isn't balcad in jubaland where rivers flow I won't be surprised if few hyenas still roam but considering north Somalia is desert and no water resources how could wildlife exist?

The only desert like region in Somalia is punt land. You make a lot of assumptions for someone who hasn't lived in the regions. Hyenas wild doofaar, and baboons are the most common wild animal in Somalia and are literally everywhere. Somalia should find a use for them....possibly a market in China will eat them

Satellite don't lie Somaliland/punland are both desert with the exception of few coastal areas in both regions.

I already said hyenas might be found in the South part of somalia *note not many hyenas/wildlife otherwise we will have seen it being showcased.

It's actually quite the opposite in Somali land the only place that's a desert is the coastal parts, punt land is full blown for the most part

Somaliland especially western somaliland is far more fertile than Puntland, when I walk at dawn along the main road you could see the farmlands on the horizon in arabsiyo, everywhere is green.

Mostly Semi-Arid you mean. If most of it was truly dessert then we wouldn't be receiving anywhere from 300 mill to as much as 600 mill in some places that result in seasonal flooding. A dessert has to average less than 50 mill of rainfall to qualify.

Partly yes, Northern Somalia mostly being desert. You have better maps showcasing northern Somalia as green ?
You need to be specific first what do you exactly mean with NORTHERN SOMALIA. If you are including Somaliland then you're wrong since it's 1/3 is green highly fertile and the other 2/3 being semi desert that could still be turned into green with a little effort.

Semi arid is also classified as desert biome. Are you aware of that? Is basically sub category of desert still defined as desert.[/QUOTE]

Excluding the coastal areas. Yes include whole North Somalia.
