Took these pics today @ the "desert" 20km outside of Hargeisa...aka Arabsiyo, where I am currently.


Hargeisa's surroundings and everything west of it is currently green, you'd think you was in the Ethiopia highlands if you seen what I saw, grain farms with grass growing past your knees, lush vegetation, it's a semi-arid climate that springs to life in one season then slowly fades away in a repeating cycle, it is not a lifeless desert.

i agree with Zayd,only if the fking khat eating authorities had a plan to harvest more rain water to be used in the jilaal season ,it would have been a paradise.
