Its very dehumanizing for human beings with a history,culture, homeland,ancestry/heritage to reduce themself in to just a mere color. Hence why you have culturally intact nations like Ethiopians, Arabs,Jews, Japanese and Chinese rejecting western imposed color based identities since it takes them away from their claim to heritage land and culture.
Black tells you how you look without telling you who you are. A more proper word for our people, ''Horn of African/Somali'', as it relates us to land, history and culture.
Notice today only two races go by color labels; The race with the most oppression (Bantus & AAs) and the ones inflicting that oppression (Europeans).
