You have heightened Mota ancestry which is absolutely rare for Central SL & Eastern SL (yes I include SSC) & PL.The clans there regardless of tribal affiliation rarely have Mota (Ethio hunter-gatherer) ancestry.You have even higher Mota then my father! Do you get any Oromo or Highland Ethio matches?

Most of my closest relatives are isaaq on 23&me since 6/8 of my great grandparents are Isaaq. I’m getting a lot of matches from Awdal and Djibouti too. A lot of gaboye/madhiban matches on my first page.

Western SL and Fafaan/Jigjiga district tends to have heightened Mota admixture most likely from the medieval period.
If you look hard enough you will likely find a handful of Highland Ethio (most likely Oromo) matches.
I have other Southern Hawiye samples and they don’t have Mota ancestry. It seems more common among Southern Daroods.

I don't tend to have Mota when scaled. I'm pure Galbeed. From what I recall you saying, your grandmother was admixed. I anticipate slight variability among people in the Northwest owning more to those around them and marriage/settlement patterns. I gather family history also has a role to play.
One is Wacbuudhan. The other was rumoured to be Gabooye before and whenever someone asks him his tribe, he avoids it 100% of the time. I doubt he is Abgaal.
