Some Pakis and yemenis work in restaurants . There's suprisinly a good amount of Chinese. You see a diversity in SL absent in Somalia because of its security situation

Honestly Hargeisa got so many foreigners and I'm taken back by how the locals don't even give them a second glance. They walking in the streets like any faarax.

The top 3 nations here are :

Yemenis (they practically Somali)

Bangladeshi

Turkey/Syrians

My cousin's and their friends are showing me around Hargeisa. So I don't stay in one place in any given day.

The food here is shit.Yesterday I went to a pizza store and that Cadaani store that sells "Shawarma" and it is safe to say our people don't even know how cook fast food correctly. They literally gave me a chapati wrap and called it shawarma :mjlol:

All in all Hargeisa is one oversized refugee camp.Which is why tomorrow I am headed to Berbera :banderas:

Don't eat pizza from anywhere out there except Fish & Steakhouse and if that hello pizza bullshit they own still operates avoid that. Caadani is trash , try the shawarma from Oslo Cafe or Reem ( I think that's how you spell it) there's a nice restaurant called Suldan and there's a couple more spots I haven't been there since 2016 and a lot of stuff opens and closes every year so I don't know what's still there now, but whoever took you to cadaani did you no favors

The person that took you to Cadaani should get capital punishment, what a neef! The place is dwelled by hordes of inner city residence. You'd think that guy will try to have a modern standards

@Oday Sanaag ive seen the Oslo place but can't recall where ...I think I was walking towards the Presidential palace

Oslo should be next to caadani if I remember correctly like 2 streets down

Dude! Tell me a great barber shop

I'm the last person you should ask I refused to get my hair cut out there any year I went . Although last time I was there in 2016 I heard if you want a good cut you gotta go to the ethiopians in town.

I got hairlinephobia and I'm shook some one out there is gonna f*ck mine up. Little kids out there have the worst hairlines, its like that of a 40 year old , all thanks to the Somali barbers

:bell::susp: chicken akhas. we're not Madow or cadaan. Money like that should be spent on ari , wan and geel. Chicken are notoriously unhygenic and dirty animals. Wallahi I'm unhappy. Ilaahay dadka ha ka badbaadiyo cudurro.
lol i know what you mean .
i hate the chicken farm smell .
The poultry market is really profitable market especially once more diaspora go back home .some weeks in banadir there are shortage of chicken.

Why don't people just take any job they can get I saw many youths with degrees sitting around complaining there ain't no job

And across the street you see a Turkish guy painting houses or Indians doing construction work
is a problem we have in somalia too .
everybody wants to be a bussiness owner or engineer and live in the city .while farm owners are only using 20% - 30% of the land to produce due to shortage of man power .

The Gabiley region could produce enough for all of SL but lack the knowledge, equipment and backing of the govt.Majority of fruits come from all over the world like Egypt,Europe and some fruits even come from Ethiopia.
Do you see somaliland having ties with somalia in terms of trade ,bussines and security after getting recognition of independence?

Believe me that they will only be independent politically but they are attached at the hip in terms of business interactions
