The groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Berbera Port

The expansion project is planned to be built on an 800sqm area in two phases. The first phase, which will be executed with a 232-million-dollar investment, will sit on 400sqm and can accommodate two vessels at any given time. The expansion includes the construction of additional berths.

The existing old port facility has a 650-meter-long linear wharf. Berbera's facility encompasses more than 600sqm with terminals for containers, general cargo, an office building and other properties.

Berbera will become the main pipeline further strengthening the western regions of Somaliland. Not one proper port in Sanaag and this will further deroute inventory that previously went through sanaag, unlucky.
I have my doubts about the Whole thing.
If they manage to build Berbera and make money I will tip my hat, but knowing the area and people who are in charge of it, they will find a way to snatch defeat in the jaws of victory

Do you consider Togdheer as west regions?

BURCO TO CEERIGAABO ROAD 65% IS COMPLETE.

Sometimes makes me wonder if you are even from Somaliland. Don't mix delevopments with the politics, development is development and everyone of us can benefit in one way or another, you can have your own views in politics but stop the negativity. Horumarkeena dhaqaale cid walba danbaa ugu jirta.

Ape

Study Sunt Tzu’s, ‘Art of War’.
Is it foreign. If it is you shouldn’t be happy about it. You will get raped by foreign powers

Prostituting yourself out to barely post 3rd world countries is a common trait within Africa.

That’s all Somalia has ever done and that’s why they can’t hop off SLs nuts. They want berbera . That’s all Siad had to attract foreign nations like soviets and Americans . Berbera is literally the only attractive thing in the horn to all these other countries .

And the rest of the way is still some kind of road better than before but still needs the last stages to complete . Already travel time to Ceerigaabo has been cut couple hours with 65% fully complete . They gotta prep the ground to lay a road there and that’s what I mean by the rest of the way being better than before when it was just dirt and sand lol

We never had the power to bring ourselves recognition though so I don’t know how we failed. In the 27 years we did everything we were suppose to do such as not blowing eachother up. Building respectable armed force. Literally rebuilding the capital city .

If you look at what we did in our 27 years compared to what Somalia did in that same time frame it’s not even comparable that we’ve done much more , yet you’re so skeptical of SL but no problem with Somalia . Okay lol

Compare Somaliland and Puntland, there is literally no difference in terms of developments and even the army.

Every President SL has had over stayed his term by at least 2+ years. Not a good look for someone claiming to be democratic
No parliamentary elections since 2003 lol

Everything you see in SL has been built by private investors

The capital city Hargeisa has no clean water
The only areas getting clean water are areas using infrastructure from Siyaad Baree government

The SL government has not built a single major public project

Literally, nothing, nada, zilch

As far as recognition is concern
The AU and Igad have all agreed in order for SL to gain recognition, it must first talk with Mogadishu and agree to it. Without Mogadishu, No African or world nation is going to violate the territorial integrity of Somalia.

however the idiots that ran Somaliland have been spewing venom against the only place that can sign off of their independence lol

Real smart bunch there

Finally, Let’s not pretend there are two nations here. Somaliland is part of Somalia. The only people who think that SL is Independent nation are few deluded minds

But the entire world sees SL being part of Somalia

No difference ? There’s a huge difference in development and the army , again Puntland doesn’t pay their soldiers either

Hargeisa no clean water ? Do you think hargeisa is some magic place we’ve never been? The only “areas getting clean water” are the ones that were designed to get it. Initially they only prepared for hargeisa to be a city of 300,000 people. It’s now a city of close to a million . They’ve added more pipes it’s just that they have been slow to address the issue so usually people pay a premium for new houses with water pipes . That’s why a lot of people still have no flowing water . The government is moving slow adding more pipes in certain neighborhoods and the price is too high for a lot of people especially locals to build a house in the half of the city that got pipe systems .

And the houses without water pipes get their water brought to them by the water trucks so it’s not like you have no access to nice water if you don’t have pipes .

I understand where recognition comes from, that’s why I said we can’t be blamed for that. Certain people will always hate on us so that’s not an issue we can concern ourselves with.

However we don’t need the UN. The UN runs the show, not Mogadishu . We will not talk with failmaajo we will talk to his masters . We go straight to the main man not the middle man. Cheeseman doesn’t control 1 square mile of Mogadishu let along our recognition.
