You can’t build a viable Somalia with quasi independent states. IMF are going to fund this massive expansion of the Somali state and elections will become fairer (1m1v). We’re being babysat so any potential Farmaajo trying to force his way to stay will suffer sanctions and the whole thing collapses.

It’s clear beesha caalamka are taking advantage of Madoobe Laftagareen QoorQoor Guudlaawe by ignoring their extensions and allowing probably Madoobe (despite it being a constitutional violation) to run for another term this time in a Western supervised state election at the same time as all the other elections.

It’s a fake border anyway. Why does it make sense for Galmudug to be separate from the FGS. FGS will be more competent and powerful, as well as have the better IC relations. The clans who live in Galmudug live in in Xamar, KG, HS and JL too.

That’s probably because the only clans that benefit from federalism are MJ and OG ( more so MJ but as long as a strong leader like madoobe is in power, OG too).This form of goverment doesn’t make sense for other Somali clans. GM and HS will always come under the FGS as long as a hawiye president is there.

The problem is just when you have a idiotic dictator like Farmaajo in power. With federalism, hawiye have to just wish that a hawiye president prevails through as the president realistically only has control over banadir as it isn’t a state. That’s why I am a staunch pro Banadir state supporter and when get it, I’ll be as pro federalism as you are

Being a satellite state of Mogadishu works for HAG, but it doesn't work for Puntites. We will never accept Mogadishu controlling our income generators.

I cannot be biased and oppose this policy just because I am against HSM corruption, in reality this is a great policy that I believe many on here would have supported had it been Farmaajo at the helm.

This makes sense to me. Somalia needs more local government powers so clans can all contribute to the FMS. Too powerful FMS’ will mean a dictatorship of the majority. And eventually smaller clans will withdraw and become disenfranchised. Hence why many smaller clans have Shabaab sympathisers.

These ports and infrastructure existed long before the FMS claiming them were created, why should FMS profit from things they have not themselves constructed, it came out of the national coffers and the profit should go back into the national coffers.
