The story that reer Bari Politicians had a huge sway in the Prime Ministers decision to not partake in the stone laying of Garacad is substantiated.

They had a hand in it as well as Garacad being close to Hobyo and the FGS laying stone there earlier.

Let me reitrate again why the PM going to Garacad is importantl

There was a self initiative by Mudug Elders, businessmen and intellectuals to start a port.

They wanted the Prime Minister to lay the stone for several reasons.

1. The Prime Minister brings legitimacy, PR and Photo opportunity which will help them make easy to raise money from a wide pool.

2. It would bring political approving as to build an airport or port needs federal government for outside companies to commit to the project.

3. Thirdly if the people raise a certain amount they canb always lobby the federal government for more funds and to complete it citing the Prime Minister laying founding stone and thus ensuring federal government supportnin completing the project. It is like de fact cheque once a Prime Minister or President lays stone to a project that they will most likely co

Farmajo already set the stone down in Hobyo. These HG s are sabotaging Garacad because they're scared of us. I appreciate Kheyre planning to come but the fact that he got spooked by these s shows that we still have no federal government.

@Rise why even bother engaging with @Von who has immense enmity towards Puntland despite being educated in Bari. Non of your answers were satisfactory, he kept on insisting that reer Bari would be jealous? The project is being spearheaded by a dashishle minister of ports, Cali Saleebaans love reer mudugs and cismaan maxamuud, our older brother, gave us several of his seats in the City Council of Bosaso.

Garacad will tap into other unexplored sectors that are not being serviced by Bosaso at the moment. Bosaso and Garacad will have non-competing clause.

This project will be completed if mudane Gaas stays for another 5 years.

Von is a great example as to why Puntite women should not marry "others" and if they do, make sure they are raised in their own regions and don't let them inherit property in Puntland.

If a Puntite women/man's daughter, marries "other", do the same thing. Let her move to HIS deegaan and let them visit their own regions.

Von the FG is inna dilemma. President Mohamed Abdullahi laid foundation to the building of Hobyo port.

Garacad and Hobyo are both in Mudug. Some felt laying stone to two ports in the same vicinity and region is not desirable and one port suffices.

It is political if the FG lies stonebto both then the one port has to get what the other did in financial support.

The Galmudug are already extorting the FG about it citing the President laying stone. Kheyre doing the same in Garacad would be the same.

Kheyre did not want to find himself in a conundrum.

You know what's funnier? Puntland media is not talking about Hobyo nor are Puntites even worried about Hobyo.

Who is stopping them from developing? Aside from their selfishness and shortsightedness.

All they have to do is secure Galmudug, build roads and find funding to build the port.
