Oh my bad just saw this. I like to speak to people who know more than me on matters. So I avoid sheikh tuulos and go to niggas who are impartial which is quite hard when it comes to the deen in general. Therefore, I avoid any ayrab sheikh from the gulf as I aint trying to be spoon fed a dying ideology.
Anyway over the years I've collected/read/learnt enough on matters from many people but I'm still learning regardless. If you want to start somewhere avoid these youtube/tiktok/insta pages that cherry pick sources and spit word salads and clearly have an agenda to promote their version of an ideology i.e Mo Hijab. If something bothers you, you have the internet first use that as nearly every tafsir from day 1 till now has been readily translated. If you want I can point you to PDF's easily. Avoid articles especially shit like Islamqa you dont have to be smart to know which niggas are behind that site. Then if its still confusing, take it to a knowledgeable sheikh near you but fact check what he says and where he went to learn about the deen.
Then lastly if you want to be extra then email/pm somebody impartial who has studied something like Quranic studies at a reputable university (e.g SOAS London have a great course) from the west (avoid gulf wecels). Then after that it is up to you to use the akhli the lord gave you to see if the answers you were looking for make sense to you. It is hard because from birth we are spoonfed the idea that critical thinking is not allowed when it comes to the deen and you have to just take what the dugsi macalin told you or sheikh tuulo came up with. But the world doesnt work like that and thats how you end up with extremist niggas who leave their brains behind. Hope that answers ya question.
I don't think that's fair. He was literally after that short Yemeni youtuber and his tall friend for the longest. He would constantly make videos about them and would try to get them to repent. Clearly, it isn't a race issue. Also, he used to make videos of Dina Tokiyo who is also Egyptian btw and her Pakistani husband. I'm not the biggest fan of MH, but we have to be honest and we can't be lying about people. He has made dozens of videos of Arab youtubers one even being Egyptian like him. At one point, I didn't even understand why he did it as I felt like it was fruitless, especially with regards to Dina as clearly his naseeha wasn't working and if was getting to the point where she felt she was being attacked by him. My overall point is, he clearly doesn't care about the race/ethnicity of those he makes videos about, so why lie and say he is targetting Ayan for being Somali when this guy has a track record of going after even fellow Egyptians?!

When he spoke about Ilhan it was after she was invited to speak at an Islamic conference he attended and she has been support by known islamic figures in US, that is the difference and why it is dangerous unlike outcast Sadiq Khan, who he btw has spoken about I shared the video.
This is an attempt by some self professed non-muslims on here to use tribalism to rally Somalis to defend clear unislamic behaviour and against a genuine criticism. It is so they defend monsters like Ayaan Hersi Ali and think thats normal. Ilhan behaviour is clearly wrong, she even called the shariah barbaric. I have talked extensively about this.
He’s a hypocrite for targeting Ilhan and not other Muslim politicians.
He’s a scam artist because he’s doing this to create traction that equals views and equals more money/attention. Hijab is a smart guy, he acts controversial and outspoken so people are drawn to his content which means more viewers and more money.
Disingenuous because he knows that Ilhan has to post these posts, just like every Muslim politician. The reason why he doesn’t target Sadiq Khan because it will divide the UK Muslim community and result in Sadiq losing his biggest support base. This will negatively impact Hijab as the London Muslim community will be weakened.
But since he’s disingenuous, instead of realising the impact of attacking a Muslim politician, he deliberately chooses to attack one that is in another continent and is already prone to controversy, so that:
A) It doesn’t affect him as Muslim Brit
B) He cannot be blamed for any weakened support for Ilhan as he can say that she was already controversial.
There is a reason why proper sheikhs like Mufti Menk, Omar Suleiman, Hamza Yusuf don’t get involved in controversy.
The idea of dawaah is more appealing to them than becoming an influencer.
