The mother of Federalism deserves it, PL shot themselves in the foot. They chose to legitimize sitting with Paper states like Hirshabelle and Southwest instead of directly negotiating with the FGS. Regardless of PL's failures HSM's unilateral constitutional changes are illegal. The SFG and parliament/courts/agreement or any law they pass has no federal legality since it wasn't ratified by any regional parliament which is the constitutional process for all federal laws. I for one was and still against the Federal system. I preferred a 1 country 2 systems options like Hongkong(PL in this case) and a strong central government for the rest that's why I support HSM's loo joojin maayo movement, It'll end up forcing PL to jump ship.

As for @Itsnotthateasy SL is propped up by the same federal government he's clowning. It was HSM that gave
a north-south confederacy option to SL in Djibouti beginning of 2024 after they lost 80% of their so called army to SSC militia. They refused and proceeded with the abysmal failure that is the MOU. That's why he spends most of times opening threads about Xamar & PL. As far as International community you are still part of the system considering SL had MPs & Ministers in the SFG. The same UN representative that sits with Xasan sits with Muse Bihi as well.

PL created a system for all of Somalia but it can't force everyone to use that system. Multiple governments have tried to destroy the Federal system and they pretty much failed. However, you failed at creating a system for Isaaq, Harti waqooyi and Samaroon. We're simply not in the same league. You're whole secession is based you not being able to compete politically with Darood and Hawiye. Isaaq knows they'll always be a third wheel so they chose to create SL to dominate other clans around them.

Federalism was a reaction to the capture of the capital and an attempt to covert the weakness, which is that darood populations are spread out into an upside of voting power based on region and to increase your influence that way but it's failed miserably and actually set you back, especially those trying to turn Puntland First. Should have never gone to Xamar.

Isaaq have no interests in poltiics in Somalia. We rebelled and toppled the state because we are naturally politically opposed to repression and other forms of menace you guys attempt to operate in and often fail miserably at. Federalism can't work with those people ever neither can actual democracy.
