Thanks to the gentrification in major cities the government started building low income housing complexes in the suburbs so all the hood kids got shipped there
The way these kids play with drugs starting in middle school was jarring. My school was mainly filled with brown kids and cadaan they were doing weed, vape, drinking Alcohol, etc in middle school. I will never forget in HS some cadaan kid telling me he did too much drugs he couldn’t do sports cuz he couldn’t breathe properly. These kids were from well off families so they always got the craziest stuff. I remember some madow kid/one Somali kid went with that crowd and screwed up their life.
Aaah, there is nothing worse than a junkie thinking you are a bro or friend. Next time he knocks your door chase him with stick. You will have to do this multiple times, because their addict brain will convince them with whatever excuse for why you chased them that day and to go beg you for cash. These scumbags need either to be put in facility or somewhere else away from us.
Brudda needs to chew some khat these western countries banned it leaidng people to drugs and alcohol which destroy peoples lives

Let the guy be, man. Be polite and be respectful and he will act accordingly around you. Dont treat him like an outcast or anything, but keep your interactions as sweet and short.
By the way, you messed up by giving him weed. You can't take any moral high ground when you went and established a not so ideal exchange where he thinks he can familiarize with you on a vice level. That speaks to your low streets smarts (no offence).
Next time he comes around or even ask, be respectful, kind and tell him you stopped smoking and say you are short on time. Also give him some advice sincerely and tactfully (make sure you read if he has the temperament to listen first).
Even the worst criminal will respect you and give you distance of they see how you carry yourself. You don't have to be hostile unless he actually threatens you and that rarely happens.
If you take my advice, you will see him hide his rough edges whenever an encounter happens. If he sees you're respectable, he will hide his negative ways. The problem is that he has assessed you're on his "behavioral" wavelength.

Don't make things complicated and be straight with him next time. Best ways to deal with druggies and borderline mental is to remind them they are a lost cause for being a Somali. Drugs are Harama and he should seek some Medical help to get off the addiction.
Propblem is, if you have something in common with him and he already knows you smoke etc, he won't listen because you are on the same boat. Crazy people are smart too, they know when someone is giving them bullshit.
Get Khamiis On once and clean up. Ask him to go with you for Friday prayer. That will be the end of his stalking.

They know 99% of the time. Somalis will cut off their kids if they bring Somali standards of shame to their family. They will even never bring up the existence of their kid to people they recently met but will bring up the other kids.
That's sad. Those types of families need to be reminded that it's haram to cut off family members, and it's not what we do as Somalis. I have an uncle who was an alcohol junkie, living by himself in a foreign country, just drinking. We never gave up and spent years trying to get him to go back to Kenya. He finally did it and got sober. They need to do the same take him back home for at least 6 month.
