It is not recent, it is from over 5,000 years ago from North Sudan. This area has always been something in between Nilotes and Egyptians.

Only a language shift happened with Arabic recently + some additional Saudi paternal lineages were introduced in North Sudan with the Arab conquest, but not much autosomal.
