Somaliland and Puntland are the only 2 administrations that have pulled off 1 man 1 vote elections. The others are way too behind.

Probably not happening this election, but definitely the next one. I don’t think the mucaarad would stand for the Presidency or parliament being 1M1V right now.

Ururka Shaqaalaha, in my opinion, is the only one that can handle Puntland's economic concerns. We don't have 'unemployment' as much as we have kibir. I visited Puntland and the waiters are Isaaq or other Reer Waqooyi. The manual labourers are mostly Bantu and even they are being replaced with Asians. When locals try to do waitressing/hosting work, they get ridiculed and they have to wear face masks to hide. Our farms employ Oromos. It's absolutely ridiculous how much work there is and how little people have an appetite to roll up their sleeves for fear of disgusting discrimination.

Such a shame. Sheikhs need to a khutbah on the virtues of manual labour.
