Those who already have a prejudice towards Islam and Muslim will take his words and derive the worst meaning from it. Those who love Islam and know Muslims are flawed human beings will find excuses for him. He might have used that word to paint a picture for the audience but not have intentionally thought to put down the hair texture. It’s appalling how Muslims can assume the worst in each other just because gaalo (who are actually jaahil on what matters) took that viewpoint.

Afro hair doesn't mean 4C hair by the way. You can have 3B to 4A hair and make it into an afro.
