Congratulations to our brethren in putland, I hope they conduct a fair and free election, btw have the electoral commission announce any number or statistics with regards to number of voters yet?

The voter turn out in Puntland pilot election was shockingly low. Look at Qardho, the over 18 segment is 69k, yet only 25k registered, meaning the voter turn out was 36%.

Eyl turn out was even lower with 20% of the voting segment came to be registered. legal voters were 56,472 yet only 11,364 registered. Ufayn was closer to realistic voting bloc, where 21000 are of legal voting age with 9,902 registered.

That is a whopping 45% registered voter from ufayn, 20% for eyl, 36% for qardho.

People just don't care as much about local elections as they do about presidential elections. I am actually surprised that Ufayn was able to hit 45%.

Member of Parliament (MP) elections are more important then presidential elections, you will have access to your mp to hold him accountable to your district's development, where-as the president, it's unlikely you will have access to him to hold to account your district progress.
