The supreme court had from February 6 to formalize the separation not now when the gudoomiyes mandate is up. The only way forward is with 49 MPs or 1m1v.

i think parliament has to formalize it and they need 2/3 support (44/66 mps). So even without 17 mps can still technicaly make change to constiution. Its probably too late in game like you said though unless there is extension past jan 8th. alot of moving parts last couple weeks from 2 year transition to statehood, to SSC mps get 1 year extension, to them needing to be selected again for new 5yr term which i think made elders and ssc say no more this week and pull out. a lot of moving parts Deni got work cut out for him. 49 would be best but more i think about it the tougher it seems

Picking 17 Dhulbahante MPs, despite the Garaads saying no, is asking for disunity amongst Harti. It will be a dumb move. I’m hearing Deni will announce tomorrow that there will be elections based on 49 MPs.

i think this separation needs time and extensive planning, we should respect the garaad’s decision khatumo and puntland will have to cooperate alot of things especially security, economy khatumo cannot stand alone

Warsangeli have made no intention of joining Khatuumo. Suldan Siciid is in Garowe and is in the process of selecting the candidates for his clan's seats for the election.

The longer Deni does not make it clear that no Dhulbahante will be allowed to be part of Puntland, the more likely it looks to be a delibrate sabotage of SSC. There can be no SSC participation in Puntland's politics. He should publicly ask Karaash, all ministers and MPs from SSC for letters of resignation now.

What is happening now makes Puntland look like a joke and weakens Firdhiye.
