I think we should promote hydroponic farming green houses to compete with the high productivity of the south. Some crops like tomatoes grow twice as fast in hydroponics.
Overall hydroponic plant can grow up to 30-50% faster than a soil plant. Then we can raise taxes on the vegetables coming from the south to give our local farmers a heads up.
