Djiboutians don’t look down on Somalia, they don’t talk about how Djibouti is peaceful and Somalia is awful, they don’t mock the issues in Somalia and they didn’t want to be their own country back in the day. So yes your side is filled with self haters who go on about having “bees”.

I remember some old Somali oday recounting how they wanted to join back with the rest of Somalia but the vote got sabotaged by you know who.

I never look down on Somalis with all due respect you're putting words in my mouth, as for other Landers yes many do look down on Somalia and yes that isn't fair (but that is a two way street, you have people on this forum who do the same back to Landers and even go as for as saying Siad didn't go far enough), you just don't like the fact we have our own views and want to smear us with the same label which is ignorant on your part. At the end of the day I sincerely hope all Somalis prosper but I wish for SL to become an independent state with its 'own' identity.

Yeah Djibouti wanted to join Somalia. It’s only landers who seem to have this weird hatred for the rest of Somalia and want to separate themselves so badly from us. Djibouti has independence today and even with Somali hate over the years, I don’t see them hating on Somalia at all.

I don’t agree with the Siad Barre praise. Most Somalis in Somalia just want to be one country with one identity. I love my people regardless of their clan and being divided into so many countries when we’re the same people is so dumb to me imo.

I agree with the similarity part, I just don't think that should be the basis for holding unity, I mean you have Germany and Austria, two Congos, you have many in North Africa who more or less have the exact same traits as mentioned. If Somalia could genuinely prove it could improve and build something for its people I wouldn't mind.

Somalia is so far gone now and have you seen the leaders hoping to be the president in 2026?? they better pray they find a completely different t leader with a different system who puts his people first untl than I don't think is wise for us to have any sort of unity with them.
