The US fully controls Somalia and has nothing to gain from creating another country were it subjects itself to different rules. I fail to see any reason as to why you think the US can’t build a military base there tonight if it so wishes. Every Somali state is dependent on US aid and every foreign state with a vested interest in Somalia is also dependent on the US in one way or another so theres nothing stopping them from forcing everyone’s hand and getting what they want.

Don't mock the people of SL brother, they're doing much better than muqdisho, our only disagreement with them is their claim to Harti lands, clearly the Qoslaye so called goverment has failed on every parameter and it won't be long before SL gets its recognition, PL is already as well acting independently until there is a proper goverment in place, this seems to be unlikely so in the end we also might become another state at the horn but let us see.
