Ukraine refuses to accept these regions independence , Ukraine and the regions wanting independence have committed war crimes against each other. Ukraine provokes Russia by saying there gonna join nato or get nukes . Russia decides to invade Ukraine. And also the nationalists that are armed helping the gov are usually neo nazis . So that’s what putin is talking about .
