Geri Koombe have brothers with a coastline inshallah once SSC war is over we will supply our Geri twins with all they need to secure their borders from maamulka Oromia.

Sitti is located in northeast of Ethiopia and north-west of Somali regional state. It lies on the essential asphalt route that connects Addis Ababa to Djibouti port. The modern Addis-Djibouti railway line which serves as passageway to 95%of Ethiopia’s exports and imports passes through Sitti plains.
Due to this geographic importance, the indigenous Somali population experienced waves of repeated mass atrocities and all forms of human right abuses including multiple genocides since 1948 when Haile Selassie annexed Somali region.
Ethiopia wants to Control these areas so they can enjoy their imports and exports without disruption.
We will see what happens in the coming days, but i suspect an even bigger battle to start in the near future.
In 2014 Ethiopian government unconstitutionally handed over three exclusively Somali-inhabited areas located on the Afar-Somali border to Afar regional government without due process. The federal government forcefully silenced those who opposed the land transfer mandating the then notorious regional president, Abdi Iley, to sign an agreement

Since Cagjar rejected the Iley deal of 2014, the Federal government and Abiye have no legal grounds to deploy federal troops anymore. That one move alone has been more beneficial to Ciise than the dog Iley's term.
Btw why are you guys not praising Guelleh he has armed the Sitti defence forces to the teeth. And what is Irir to Ciise? Ciise dont need other Dir let alone Irir. SDF will secure the corridor for Djibouti, beesha Ciise way tashteen, we will see if Abiye has the balls to label SDF as terrorists.

Majority of the troop casualties are Ogaden while majority of the civilian casualties are Issa that’s true. By the way Many Issas in the region believe Omar Guelleh is Infact supporting Afars against his own people. Omar Guelleh is threatened by the issas in Ethiopia because he believes they would overthrown his regime if they got the chance. Little does he know that the Afars settling in this Land is a bigger threat to Djibouti’s Border than anything else.

Just to add on to that geographical location of Sitti provides easier access to import and export goods whilst maintaining cost & fuel efficiency in the long run. it’s practically a money game to position themselves where it benefits them.
Furthermore, The locals have dismantled the railways on numerous occasions after several skirmishes took place over the railways. Not to mention, Ileey did more atrocity to his people by signing illegitimate business deals that decelerate economical growth crippled with upsurge of violence in Sitti.
if ileey had any brain cells, this railway project would have benefited Somalis in sitti tremendously had he planned properly and not been a lapdog.
