Personally i have no objection to isaaq getting recognition but the border issue must be dealt with.

The Diehard Secessionists dont want autonomy within Somalia. UAE model can maybe work.
All regional states become independent, but united by one President(Symbolic) and a Army that deals with external threats. The President rotates each 5 years around the states.

As an Isaaq the overwhelming majority of us want nothing to do with Somalia in any shape or form.

I think we’ll either get our independence or we’ll remain a status quo. There’d be a massive revolt if we even contemplated the idea of reunion.

What i suggested is Federation

U would still be independent. And the symbolic president only stays for 5 years, rotates amongst the independent states. So there will be Isaaq, rahanwein, hawiye, darood president.

Awfully by the looks of it, so bad that it makes you question if these guys are even leaders. It's like they didn't even get a briefing or read the itinerary. Like completely on different pages.
