It would probably just create more drama in Somali lands at the end of the day but, oddly, it would probably unite Somalis more. Being surrounded by ajanabis would make qabiil matter a lot less, I reckon. The divisions would now be more about Somali vs non-Somali.

That's partially true. I always see that somalis in the west are less qabilist and help each other a lot even when from different qabils.

I think this is a good move by Somaliland diplomatically. This proves that Somaliland is the only peaceful country in East Africa. The U.S would have placed these refugees in either Djibouti or Ethiopia but their peace is very fragile at the moment. This would show the world that Somaliland is not only peaceful but totally independent from Somalia. As reported the one bed room government in Somalia tried to stop this from happening just like the DP World deal and failed once again. Somaliland currently hosts refugees from Yemen, Syria and Somalia and Afghans would not be any different. Somaliland should use this as leverage to get international reignition.
