Madow means Bantu. It doesn't only mean rough hair. The meaning has changed. A person from Djibouti with nappy hair isn't considered a Madow.

You can't tell where I am from based on Somali accent. My Germanified Somali accent is not regional.

Qaldaan isn't only for a clan, it's an insult for all Northerners.

Not really mere description, it's a social division. Madow were ganged up on by the majority when the state collapsed. Also Madow have faced the brutality of AMISOM way worse than the rest, their women were raped and they've been targeted for shelling more than the rest.

White people have red hair, blonde hair, brown hair, curly hair, straight hair etc etc.
Hair isn't an ethnic identifier.

Bone structure is more important. Anyhow a large percentage of Somalis do not have Madow hair.
