There are no tribal interests, just personal and familial. If that weren't the case then Musa Hilal would be supporting the RSF and people wouldn't be calling the RSF "Qahati militia" (Qahat = FFC which is led by Riverines). And this won't be a never ending civil war for multiple reasons:
1- RSF fighters in Khartoum state fell from over 60k to
under 20k in just 3 months. Some credible sources even estimate 10-12k remaining.
2- The rainy season is affecting RSF supply routes, hence their desperate attempt to smuggle weapons through Kassala.
3- Very few Sudanese people support RSF, so while the military is recruiting thousands of men from across Sudan the RSF has to force children to fight for them.
Adding on to #2, there are reports that RSF is besieged in Southern Khartoum.
