If i didnt know Americans any better i would be absolutely thrilled to finally hear a president of the US say "this is not our fight, let it play out. Do not get involved."

They have caused chaos in the middle east and the Muslim lands with their interventions. For now they are happy that Assad is gone and that's why they are just watching from the sidelines, but let's wait and see what moves they make now...

Hopefully tho Trump follows the Afghanistan footprint and lets whoever is competent/powerful enough rule.

Supporting the rebels was the policy of King Abdullah. King Salman and his son was the one who switched sides. All the current Ls Saudi Arabia has taken recently is because of King Salman and his obese son.
