Ok I get that if someone asks what you identify as, you would say Somali. But, how would you respond if someone specifically asked over the phone "what is your race"? Keep in mind that Somali is not a race, it's an ethnicity.

Although I can’t say my race is black, there’s no such thing. That’s the most inaccurate and false answer because I’m not related to ‘black’ people ( who are mostly Bantu). It’s a tricky situation because it’s hard to say what your race is because pretty much nobody knows the correct answer. You could say you’re Cushitic but most people don’t know what that is.
