Literally all of asias growth in the 20th century can be attributed to the Japanese. Korea, China and Taiwan would be like India if it weren’t for the empire. Pretty much all the crucial infrastructure Korea used to grow their economy and its human capital was Japanese.
They copied Japan's post war economic policies but to say they were rich as a result of direct Japanese rule is silly. South Korea and China were poor African tier shitholes until the 80s and 90s

Korea and Taiwans industries were built, managed and financed by Japanese companies. Not to mention the elite of these countries were collaborators educated in Japanese schools. Their martial education also came from the Japanese colonial army. This also extends to Thailand
The elites maybe but whatever industries Korea had was destroyed in the Korean War. As I said, they were literally an African tier country until the 90s/2000s.
Also, have you forgotten that Japan recieved everything from America, U.K and Germany? Should cadaans go back to ruling eveyone since they were the ones to modernize the world including Japan?

The elite are the people who set the path for their country, they build these industries and will rebuild it whenever it’s destroyed. Anyone can copy japans policies, how many times has it actually worked outside of the former Japanese sphere of influence?
Also Korea wasn’t “Africa” in the 60s and 70s, they were already building ships by then, which they learned from the Japanese. (Industrial shipbuilding at scale, they had boats for ages but of course that’s totally different) How many African countries are building their own merchant fleet and warships?
