Absolutely. I posted a viral tweet here where a politician in the UK had spread anti-somali rhetoric in parliament (somewhat similar to Congress or Senate). This tweet was quote tweeted by two very, very famous politicians in England; one of them was going to be the leader of the Conservative party (UK's version of republicans) and could have been the next leader of the country.Something that has been happening forever now, people just have to open their eyes
We have nothing in common with other Muslims, and other Muslims are quick to throw Somalis under the bus
There’s no brotherhood in Somalinimo. Every clan for themselves.Same people who are supposed to be your brothers in Islam will insult you for your ethnicity for a couple of laughs
Same people try to judge and shame you based on what someone of the same ethnicity as you did.
It’s time we put our people before our religion.
Did you revert?Thats an old post lol
These people are the biggest hypocrites, they’ll slander their own parents, gender and clans then complain about racism from other groups. If you don’t respect yourself, no one will respect you. There’s no brotherhood in Somalinimo. Every clan for themselves.
Literally what nobody here did thatThese people are the biggest hypocrites, they’ll slander their own parents, gender and clans then complain about racism from other groups. If you don’t respect yourself, no one will respect you.
Is anyone here agnostic/atheist or non-religious?
I consider myself agnostic/non-religious as of recently Never opened the quran before, never prayed, my friends would ask if i prayed, i lied saying i did. My parents never really made an effort to get me into the religion, maybe because they just wanted to escape the troubles during the civil...www.somalispot.com
Lol
i'll always be somali whether im muslim or not, you need to learn how to separate ethnicity and religion we aren't jews who are bothYou leave Islam then you also leave somali ethnicity atp they should never welcome you back just claim habesha or some other shit
I couldn't understand the second line. But are you saying there is no solidarity between 1.5 billion from the same ethnicity because one or few people made fun of you for laughs? And because of that (someone making fun of you) you left the deen? TBH this is the most silly points to leave a religion, you gotta come up with more serious or logic reason.Same people who are supposed to be your brothers in Islam will insult you for your ethnicity for a couple of laughs

Not a single muslim organisation came out to defend us. Not a single one. We even have many famous Asian muslim politicians, not a single one of them came out to defend us.
We are on our own. I am happily willing to participate in this whole ummah community thing when other muslim groups share the same sentiments - until then, it's a NO!
