Lmao everyone acting like HSM can bring Somaliland onboard with the stroke of a pen and the deployment of troops. Somaliland has used their nuclear weapon and it has seemingly failed so ictiraaf isnโt coming anytime soon. That means the best way to solve the Somaliland issue is to sort out our own affairs first. Defeat Al-Shabaab militarily or by entering negotiations with them substantially weakening them (removing them from Galmudug and greatly reducing their territories in KG and Jubbaland). Clarify and finalize power and revenue sharing between the FGS and FMS. Establish an independent courts system able to effectively arbiter disputes between the different levels of government. Financially support Khaatumo and push for them to unite with Maakhir to create a new FMS. Begin drilling for oil and exploiting the natural resources we have.
Once all that is done, then we enter in good-faith negotiations with Somaliland about the terms with which theyโll properly rejoin the union. Thereโs been enough fighting over the last forty years to show that violence wonโt win anyone over. The only way weโll resolve this dispute is when union with Somalia becomes a better option for SL than the purgatory of seeking ictiraaf forever and ever. Once Somalia begins making money from its resources SL politician will want to get onboard before itโs too late. Until then they have no reason to choose unity over their current status quo.

I'm not actually a troll though. A lot of what I post is factual and sourced and I debunk things from time to time too. This is all very relevent to the topic of discussion, just because it doesn't suit you doesn't make it trolling or out of order. I do make a joke from time to time because politics is boring topic.

You don't understand the situation.
Somalia is trying to protect it's claim over Somaliland. Turkey wasn't willing to get involved because it's not their approach to intefere in the internal politics. Their approach was Somalia should make a similar offer to Ethiopia to stop the Somaliland deal from going through.
That was unnaceptable to the South Somalians now they head to Egypt to switch out their colonial master to one that is going to fight for them (I think). They know Egypt wants to confront Ethiopia but how the FGS can orchestrate this confrontation while under UNSC watch is going to be interesting.

latest news says Somalia refused to engage further until they stand down on their fantasies, while on their side they requested face to face talks before they agree to anything. Talks will continue another date.
