Is there a rift between Farmaajo and Turkey? The minister says Turkey hasn't paid for the last three months. I thought money would be flowing from the Turkey and Qatar coalition since Arab drama

They use to give HSM 5 million a month, and now they're withholding a 2 million budgetary support from Farmaajo.

Why blast them in a conference?

It's charity money anyways... you don't need to embarrass them in public.

There isn't a single thing Farmaajo has done in the past 6 months that impressed me so far. :kodaksmiley:

How much are you expecting things to change in 6 months after 27 years of dysfunction?

I think they gave HSM more because he didn't ask questions. UAE and Saudi did more for Somalia than Qatar, it's not even close.

Best thing he did was chose Kheyre. I come to realise that Murursade were the organisers of HAG. Abgaal and HG are not capable or organising themselves, Murursade use to facilitate and coordinate everything. He took them out of the equation.

A lot.

He hasn't got much time for dilly dallying which is all I've seen him do for the past few months.

Either reacting to some recent events or strutting around in a military uniform.

Sure there is deadlock in most of the main sensitive policy discussions (constitution, federalism, land etc) but there are plenty of initiatives in other sectors he should've announced by now.

I mentioned announced... not planned and completed.

I really do hope he's working behind the scenes to announce new policies in one go... but from what I've seen from him and the people under him and Khayre...

I'm going to give him a year before making my mind up about him. I hope he starts delivering soon.

What grade would you give them based on what they announced/did soo far?

Maybe a 6/10. He hasn't done much, but he also hasn't made things worse. One of the few good things he seems to be doing is strengthening the relationship between the central government and the federal states, and i hope that continues.

How about creating employment and taxing companies and small businessess even if it is 1%. All somali leader leaders seem to have a culture of uselessness. Its always that government will do this for us or that organisation will do this for us.

I hope its due to farmaajo asking questions and not mindlessly signing away papers without reading them.

Faramjo was in the office for 5 months only, and 3 months ago those agents MP started motion after motion against him and PM. Stay awoke for conspiracy going against Somali government.

when will farmaajo take responsibility?

cant attribute positive things to him and blame elsewhere for negative things

Erdogan needs to understand the current SFG isn't going to sign blatant one sided deals like the previous administration. @Duke of Bohol posted am article months ago showing the Turkish asking Farmaajo to sign some resources away for pennies on the dollar in his last visit to Turkey. They could be pissed about the hold-up because HSM wanted to sign it immediately for his election campaign but the Turkish side was reluctant and wanted to wait for the conclusion of the Feb election.

Only because there are genuine friends of the somali people I hope we can find a solution to this impasse. I wouldn't want to make them angry because they will be instrumental in building up our army
