According to Garowe online's sources, Sultan Erdogan pushed farmaajo to accept the fishing rights deal when Farmaajo visited Turkey during his state visit. They're not throwing away everything for not giving us the budget support. They are using their right as a nation to flex their soft power to achieve their self-interest. Like you said, imagine how they feel when they are doing the most for the SFG and they see their counterparts getting in on the action for free. Also, we shouldn't downplay the fishing deal because it's going to be one important sector of our economy if we ever become a functioning state. It's within Farmaajo's right to scrutinize the deal but he has to be cognizant of his relationship with our Turkish brothers. He's going to need them in his corner if he wants to implement his agenda and he can't be that simple minded to make his stabilization plan revolve around the Turkish military base only to piss them off early into his first year.

Could you link the rumors of Farmaajo accepting UAE proposition? Last I checked the dude vowed to reverse some deals that were beneficial to UAE. Although that could be him grandstanding to UAE because we haven't seen him take any concrete actions against UAE and all he has to show for it on this file was his rhetoric against UAE. You're correct about the infighting. Anyone could have foreseen that when qatar airdropped the dude to micro manage Farmaajo under the auspices of making a 'peace' deal. He's causing disarray in what was known as a tight ship but this political spat made me respect Kheyre tenfold. He personally believes siding with SA/UAE is more beneficial for Somalia according to Radio Dalsan, and yet he is sticking to the neutrality message. This shows me that he's a good character that won't rock the boat for the UAE block. There will be a time of reckoning for this spat and when it happens I hope Farmaajo does the right thing by choosing his loyal subordinate over Yasin.
