One of the reason why Somalia was alway seen as an aggressor was because of these border agreements in the early 1960s.
Even Arab countries denounced our fight in 1977, they cut us off most of the support, when they were told about these African border agreements.
Only few countries continued giving us meaningless support in late of the war in 1978.

Signing that border agreement was something erratic but I feel it was forced on us by Westerners. Also, during the first conflicts before the Kacaan, Ethiopia & Kenya were the aggressor and would especially Ethiopia would bomb and fly over Caabudwaaq, Gaalkacyo, Awdal etc.

Syria, Libya, Yemen were the only ones. Sudan and Egypt were on our side but didn't give us weapons while Saudi Arabia and Iraq broke sanctions and sent us some weapons and aid but it wasn't enough. The US also gave verbal confirmation of aid but refused it later on. Sucks as we would've been in Addis Ababa if we got support from America
