This shit is so sad. I've heard from relatives from Borama too, about the "mass" or rather unusual relocations from the region. Some of my relatives there are Darood, but they are remaining. As we trust the Awdal local people, who are among the most welcoming and hospitable people of all Somalis. The worst thing that can happen there is maybe the SL authorities ordering direct actions from Hargaysa, but that seems far fetched. And so far no killings has happened in Awdal compared to the rest of SL. So they shouldn't be worried nor scared by hysteria, even though there are legitimate concerns. But many of them already have families/relatives on the other side in DDS and just temporarily relocating until things cools down in the eastern part. It's sad all around.

Thanks for the advice. They are all cautious and keeping themselves updated about the war, and in particular unusual events taking place in their surroundings, even in larger SL cities, as indication of what might await them. But all of them are unfortunately already thinking about it, if not preparing to make that move anytime as soon. Though, they are somewhat more well-off, than my average relatives, and do own assets there. So it get's complicated, but all options are on the table now. Even if that means leaving everything behind for a while.

Absolutely and you're right about more and more people waking up to this fact.

For too long, Somalis have been ignoring their insults and sabotage but now that they're also working to actively endanger Somalis abroad by instigating ajanabis against us, a serious conversation needs to be held about whether they should get the benefit of Somalinimo. Can someone inform of their logic? As I haven't figured out yet. Most foreigners can't tell apart Somalis in the West, as to whether they are from SL or Somalia, even DDS, NFD or Djibouti. So them trying to spread hate or fearmongering to Ajanabis about Somalis from Somalia will end up backfire on them in the end. Especially amidst the rising of far right movements against muslims, black people and even Somalis in particular. Not a very well-thought of tactic I guess. But they shall reap what they sow.

UPDATE:

Approximately 500 Samaroon men are part of the SNM army that is attacking Dhulbahante people. Plus, Boorama is prepping food and supplies for Jamhuuriyada Barida Wayn.
