War in Sool

Sigh. Almost forgot I was talking sense in an emotionally charged thread that doesn't care to reason. Haye ku sii wad walaal. Good luck πŸ‘

You think this juvenile gaslighting will work on me?

Fact: Samaroon are tax paying members of Somaliland.
Fact: Samaroon are part of the SNM army

You corroborated these facts.

So, why don't you take your emotions and exit the thread?

What's your thoughts regarding the Darood members in the 'SNM' army who are stationed in different parts of Somaliland? Would be interesting to get your take.

All Puntites please in 2024 do not vote for this Deni, remind him his leadership was a 'coward' one when las anod was under attack, the ppl of puntland do not want to be represented by a 'fulay' president.

Lets never ever forget 'tarikhda' las anod and judge Deni solely on that. He stood by like a coward while dhulbahante is fighting somali-diid, aren't we unionist also? why are we not dying for our country, how can we ask foreigners to respect our borders when no-one inside our nation cares to die for it.

Maybe consider their circumstances. Not everyone is in a privileged position like yourself. Maybe that was the only opportunity they had to escape genuine poverty? Granted the circumstances are horrible. But is there no room for understanding and empathy?

Please go look at the images of the injured civilians in LaasCaanood and then ask me again if I have understanding and empathy for these goons.
Anyone with a moral compass would put the gun down, fake an injury, fake being dead and then escape.

I understand where you’re coming from. However, you’re also being a bit naΓ―ve.

War crimes are war crimes and bombing hospitals and schools are such.

I fully agree with what you are saying, the military back home isn’t something done out of passion but because it offers a steady pay check to the poor.

However, that doesn’t mean a blank cheque to do what you want. The soldiers are still going to be held accountable for their actions. If they commit crimes, they should be held responsible.

Nobody made the argument that what's going on in Laascaanood is justified. People are hyper focused on that point even when there isn't an argument being made to support the crimes being done.

What I did say was I understand clearly why people join the army because it pays fairly well in that region. Very few are in it for ideological reasons. Also soldiers are always held accountable anyway. More so than anyone else, they're the ones who'll be dying and the horrors of war can turn any decent human being into a monster. Blame the criminals who send these young people to die. They're the ones who should be standing trial as war criminals in my view.

The reason ppl resort to civilian targets is the 'soldier' their facing is winning, it's a sign when an army is losing tactic. This helped khatumo image to the world where they can argue 'SL' isn't their govt, what govt kills it's own civilians? the world will have to 'heed' to that reasoning and accept khatumo is their real govt and SL is an 'enemy govt' due to the civilian casualties their doing.

As I predict Buhodle 2 all over again in Laska. The same outcome will occur and SL will be told to stay away from Sool.
