War in Sool

Mahad Cambashe knows and expects this issue will be resolved one way or the other. He expects Somaliland to prevail. He hopes to be in good standing with his country by not engaging with it militarily and using his influence to continue Somaliland's current approach of trying to reduce damage to civilians and the city. He hopes that this approach will keep his standing both with his clan and the government. He also knows that weapons in his possion are not his clans but Somaliland's milatary. He hopes this approach will reduce number of deaths in this situation.

Mahad Canbaashe is not issue to the popular uprising in Lasanod. Majority of the young men who were with him have left him and joined the fight. Jama Siyad lost many men in the fight. They also assured to the rest of Dhulbahante elders that if he lifts a finger, they would be the first to deal with him.

With respect to cutting the supply lines from Yagoori to Lasanod, right now the priority is defending Lasanod from SL capturing it. The supply lines between Tukaraq - Lasanod are more critical to the SSC resistance than Yagoori to LA in this stage. But first thing, first.

Keep in mind 10 days ago, we didn't even have a unified command. It was an ordinary people fighting against a trained Somaliland military with a centralized command. We now have it. All of the gaas-dhegoole were removed from the front, and only those with military training are authorized to face the enemy.

The first test of this new command was carried out last night. SL military was hit hard last in 3 areas, where they lost 21 men in one spot. How many soldiers that SL lost in other 2 areas were not specified, but they lost many soldiers.

We're just at the beginning stages of this uprising. We're gathering more weapons, more artillery, and SL military will be pressured in several other areas. Bottom line, ignore all of this noise. It could be psyop from those who want to find excuses.
I wasn't referring to ina Cambaashe. I was referring to Geesdiir and his minjaxaabin. Dhulos need unity now, not subclannism

Why though? It does not make sense for Puntland to have an issue with Somaliland and not deal with it directly why contract out your dirty work to Somali Government unless Puntland knows they are not up to the job.

HSM's government clearly has other priorities rightfully so.

Puntland Government should not negotiate or even be seen in the same room as a criminal entity that has been murdering civilians, for years, in LaasCaanood and beyond. Somaliland is a terrorist group masquerading as a Government and it will be treated like a pariah. Let Halane and ATMIS deal with AlShabab and it's founding father, Somaliland. That's what they claim they are in Somalia to do.

The guy is just a social media guy. He is good at bashing Somaliland in social media. His heart is in the right place, but he fails to take account in the stages we're in this conflict. One guy (Ina Canbaashe) and his dozen technicals won't stop us even if he goes to Somaliland.

This is SSC-Khaatumo v Somaliland, the world sees it as such and it will continue to. If Puntland got involved, it would dilute the issue and take away from the fact that you shelled Laascaanood with artillery looted from Siad Barre's stores.

We have 2 groups who desperately want Puntland to engage in this as a Government.

Somaliland and of course, the beast that refuses to die: Nabad iyo Nolol.

1. Somaliland:
like you said, so that it looks like a territorial dispute and not what it really is: a deranged entity trying to ethnically cleanse SSC inhabitants.
2. Nabad iyo Nolol.: So that Puntland starts internal fighting and collapses. They think they can swoop in and steal our votes for their Lord, Saviour and Daddy.

But yaa ka yeeliya.

What's with the N&N scapegoat? The party is basically gone, Faarmajo is living his life who knows where. Most of his MPs have returned to their homes in Kenya and the UK. His ministers are who knows where and they've pretty much ceased to be a party and probably will do so until the next election year, as all Somali political parties do.
